When did you start writing?
I first tried to write an episode of The Bionic Woman. Then I wrote for my high school newspaper. Then not again until 1997! I haven’t stopped since.
What makes you want to write?
Gosh, I’m not sure. Characters, I suppose. Alternate lives. What-ifs! I really love thinking and creating the lives of characters and the events that make them memory-worthy. (I hope, anyway!)
Do you ever get writer's block and what do you do to get over it?
I do get it, yes, and when I do it’s usually a sign from my inner self that I have taken a wrong turn in the plot. I usually don’t have it for too long, but sometimes I set my writing aside and just read something. A book, outside of my genre. I recently read DARK PLACES by Gillian Flynn. Great book! With fabulous characterization. Once I finished I was anxious to jump back into my own work.
Do you have a special way of going about writing?
Nothing out of the ordinary. I do like writing ambiance. A great CD, preferably a movie soundtrack with no words. Candles. With lots of snacks around lol. Unless the weather is nice outside, then I park on the porch.
Do you have any works in progress?
Yes, the third book in the Stupid In Love series, STUPID LOVE. Also, my second Harlequin SuperRomance. Plus a couple of extra ideas I’ve been kicking around.
What are your hobbies?
I love to bake and cook! I love photography, and I dearly love traveling. I’m heading back to Scotland in October with fellow sister writer Leah Marie Brown. Woot woot!
How did you get the idea for the Stupid in Love series?
Funny—it started when I was on the way home from a Maroon 5 concert and heard Keith Urban’s Stupid Boy. Those lyrics…really hit me. Olivia Beaumont and Brax Jenkins from STUPID GIRL was born!
How did you choose the character names for the Stupid in Love series?
Choosing character names is always super fun for me. I scour the baby name data bases until something clicks!
Who is your favourite character in Stupid Boy?
Hmmm…that’s a hard one! I really loved both Kane and Harper. They so clicked with each other! I loved Murphy, too.
What was your favourite part of writing Stupid Boy?
Probably the scenes with the (nasty!) grandmother Belle. Deep down I LOVE CREEPY!
What are you currently reading?
I haven’t started it yet but FIENDISH by Brenna Yovanoff. FABULOUS cover! YA!
What is your favourite book?
Too hard to pick one! But I def love The Shining!

What is your favourite film?
Oh, man, I am a Hollywood film buff. So MANY to love! I’ll give you three. IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. JAWS. YOUNG GUNS. :)

OMG. That’s easy. THE WALKING DEAD. **SCREAMS! RICK GRIMES!!**
