Ivy Milbourn comes from a line of talented women who have died tragically. Abandoned by her mother, Ivy lives with her grandfather who constantly pushes her to join classes and reach her potential.

Ivy plans to spend her summer swimming and spending time with her friends but things are turned upside down when her mother reappears with two young daughters - Ivy's sisters.

Will Ivy get to know her mother?

Will she find out what her talent and legacy will be?

Wild Swans was an intriguing read.

Ivy was a good protagonist and I felt sorry for her - her mother had left her and her grandfather was always making her feel inadequate - but despite that she was strong.

There were diverse characters and I liked Ivy's friends and sisters, Grace especially.

Erica, Ivy's mum, was awful but I could see why she turned out the way she did.

The plot was interesting and I liked the writing style.

I would like to see more of Ivy and find out what happened to her - whether she went to university and whether her relationship improved with her mum.

Overall this was an enjoyable read.
